Steel Builder is proud to have partnered with FKG to deliver the Blue Water Shipping Facility for the Port of Brisbane, completed in October 2024. Commencing in January 2024 and completed within program by October 2024, this 400-tonne structural steel project brings together a range of critical port operations into a consolidated, future-ready facility. The development features a large-scale warehouse, a modern administrative building, extensive hardstand areas, and a purpose-built washbay—all designed and constructed to support efficient logistics and shipping operations. In line with the Port of Brisbane’s commitment to environmental responsibility, the facility was also delivered to a high sustainability rating, ensuring it meets both current and future operational and environmental standards. Steel Builder’s expertise in precision engineering, timely delivery, and high-quality erection services played a key role in bringing this project to life. The Blue Water Shipping Facility demonstrates how collaboration between builder, client, and Steel Builder can deliver integrated, sustainable infrastructure that supports Australia’s growing port and logistics sector.
